Speakers
Sean Davidson, CEO, Davis Index

Sean Davidson is the founder and CEO of Davis Index. Davidson is also the founder of Jules AI, a tech vertical building technology solution for the recycling industry.

Nearly 15 years ago, Davidson reinvigorated recycled material coverage across the Metal Bulletin Group as global editor of raw materials at American Metal Market (AMM), Metal Bulletin (MB) and Steel First, based out of New York. During his time at AMM/MB, Davidson launched the index for America’s first recycled material futures contract: the CME busheling contract. In 2015, Davidson moved to Houston to build and launch Argus Metal Prices as its global editor, a role he exited in early 2019. Since then, he has focused on building Davis Index into an industry leader for recycled materials market intelligence. Prior to his roles in commodities, Davidson served different journalistic and entrepreneurial roles in the United Kingdom, Middle East and India. His career has spanned print, online, television, recreation, hospitality and technology.

Zulma Herrera-Vakur, COO, Davis Index

Zulma Herrera-Vakur is COO at Davis Index, the only global price reporting agency dedicated to recycled materials covering global metal, paper, and plastics markets. Davis Index's team of 65+ experts based in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Spain, India, Germany and Singapore deliver over 1,600 price indexes from across the world. Prior to joining Davis Index nearly four years ago, Herrera-Vakur spent 15 years in the finance sector serving different roles with companies like Goldman Sachs and Ameriwood Industries before making the transition to steel industry analyst for three years prior to joining Davis Index.
