The class addresses the basic concepts of safety while focusing on hazard recognition.  The class provides general information on OSHA information, mobile safety, fire prevention and housekeeping, energy isolation (Lockout/Tagout), Hazard Communication, the different types of personal protective equipment (PPE) and machine guarding.

The General Safety class is not intended to replace site or company specific training on the recognition and control of hazards in the workplace but to provide supplemental information.
