This day-and-a-half event is designed for those involved in handling material, conducting maintenance and other “hands-on” activities that are essential to operations at shredder facilities. It is also for those who want a better understanding of these issues, their challenges, and their safety aspects.

Attendees will learn from experts about important daily and recurring activities for efficient and safe shredder operations and have an opportunity to network and build relationships with peer attendees.

  • SOLD OUT! SA Recycling Tour (limited to 100 participants and subject to approval of tour host)
    Transportation and PPE will be provided. Attendees must wear closed toe shoes.
  • Hazard Recognition: Fire Safety & Prevention in Recycling (limited to 50 participants)
    The registration fee is per person and includes participant materials, lunch, continental breakfast, and refreshment breaks. There is no additional fee for participation in the optional yard tour though pre-registration is required and limited to the first 100 registrants. There is no additional fee for participation in the optional Hazard Recognition: Fire Safety & Prevention in Recycling program though pre-registration is required and limited to the first 50 registrants.

    This session will address spill prevention, control, and countermeasures, good housekeeping practices, and belting types. Their safety aspects will be highlighted

ReMA secured a limited number of sleeping rooms at a discounted rate at the Courtland Grand Hotel. Registration for the Shredder Operations Forum is required to obtain the hotel reservation link with access to the discounted room rate. Discounted rooms are available on a first come first serve basis so don’t delay.

Individuals will receive an emailed confirmation once registered and this confirmation will include detailed information regarding next steps for how to reserve a hotel room at the discounted ReMA rate.

Please note hotel reservations made using a shared discount code and found not to be registered for Shredder and Safety Operations Forum, will be charged the Courtland Grand Hotel prevailing room rate and not the ReMA negotiated rate. As with list scams, beware of individuals offering unsolicited assistance booking hotel rooms. Registration Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing on or before Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Individuals who cancel in writing on or before September 27 will receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. ReMA will provide a refund equal to 50% of the registration fee for registration cancellations made in writing after September 27.
