Date: Monday, November 7, 2022 | 2:00 – 3:00pm ET
This webinar is open to ISRI members only at no charge.
Description
This session is designed for ReMA members who want to start networking with the state policymakers who are making decisions impacting their business operations. Our full-time jobs in recycling facilities gives us excellent perspectives, with limited time and resources, which must be targeted in intentional ways to influence the influencers. It is a perfect session for those who are uncertain how to get started networking with state influencers and can also serve as a refresher for those who have advocated in the past.
Learning Objectives
- Attendees will learn how to build a network of state policy influencers and help create a basic source of support for the recycling industry among state and local policymakers from the ground up.
- Attendees will learn how to successfully identify, approach, communicate, and follow-up with policymakers.
- Participants will understand how trending policy discussions could impact their business operations, what topics of legislation are being proposed, and how they can help ReMA in advocating for their business interests and the recycling industry.
- Attendees will receive, via email after the webinar, a take-away packet with information on key issues, ReMA resources, and contacts that can assist their advocacy efforts.
