Vincent Costanza of All Scrap Metals and Chip DeJean of Louisiana Scrap Metal and President of the Louisiana Recyclers Association hosted the chief investigator and prosecutor from the state attorneys general's office Monday for a tour of the All Scrap Metal scrap recycling yard.   Following a meeting with AG Buddy Caldwell and ReMA staff in June, the AG sent his two chiefs on the yard tour with a message that his office wants to help the industry with its law enforcement outreach and stepping up enforcement in the state. The chiefs offered to set up meetings with key state law enforcement groups and hopefully open doors for ReMA members in Louisiana to show how the industry is part of the solution to metals theft.  The chiefs also suggested that an ReMA training workshop would be welcomed in the state and offered to help connect ReMA with the appropriate accreditation bodies to secure credit approval of such training. ReMA wishes to thank Vincent Costanza and All Scrap Metals for hosting the tour and meeting. For more information, contact Danielle Waterfield.
