Tentative Deal Reached on West Coast Ports

Last week, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the Pacific Maritime Association reached a tentative five-year deal that will hopefully bring to an end the nine-month dispute at the West Coast ports. Details of the deal are not being made publicly available until it is ratified.
Last week, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the Pacific Maritime Association reached a tentative five-year deal that will hopefully bring to an end the nine-month dispute at the West Coast ports. Details of the deal are not being made publicly available until it is ratified. Normal operations at the ports resumed on the night of Saturday, February 21. While this is a positive breakthrough, it may still take several months for the backlog created by the slowdown to clear. We will keep you informed of any new developments if and when they occur.
