1st Quarter '15: finishing line for some states, starting flag for others

Mar 27, 2015, 10:32 AM by SPAN
As April approaches, so do deadlines for legislation in most states. Wyoming, West Virginia, Virginia, Utah, and New Mexico have already closed their regular sessions, and South Dakota will be following suit on the 30th.

Twelve more states will end sessions in April; of those left in session, nine will have reached their cross-over deadline by which point a bill that hasn't passed its original chamber is dead for the session.

This means that crunch time is approaching for many of the 357 bills that ReMA is currently tracking in the states, so if you haven't checked what's happening in your state's legislature, now's the time! Just go to ISRI's State Policy page, login with your username and password, and click the State Legislative Tracking System link to access bills by their state or subject category. You can also view a session deadline chart, pull custom reports on bills that interest you, check on pending regulations that may impact your business, and much more! If you have questions about any of the bills or would just like a walk-though on how to access the system contact Justin Short.
