Jul 29, 2015, 12:09 PM by SPAN
Nearly 4,000 County government officials and staff convened in Charlotte July 10-13 at the annual convention of the National Association of Counties (NACo) where ISRI hosted a workshop as a Premier Corporate Sponsor.

The recycling workshop covered the subject of establishing partnerships between county government and the industry. Steve Levetan, Sr. VP of Pull-A-Part and the executive director of the GA Association of Counties, Ross King, presented on the value ‎of working together to achieve lasting results and solutions for countywide problems. Levetan spoke to the fact that scrap is not waste and how county government can benefit from making this distinction in its regulations.  King and Levetan also shared the secret of their success with winning over the Georgia congressional delegation for support of enactment of the Superfund Recycling Equity Act. The workshop was the first of its kind at this NACo event.
