(Washington, DC) — The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) will host its first-ever Plastics Business and Operations Summit during its 2016 Convention and Exposition, April 2-7, in Las Vegas. The Summit promises to the most compressive and dynamic plastics programming event of the year, allowing recyclers to expand their markets, and learn new and innovative ways to process materials.
“The Plastics Summit includes 13 sessions and workshops dedicated specifically to plastics recyclers,” said Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. “Attendees will have access to in-depth market reports, information on sourcing and adding new materials, the latest in collection and processing techniques, and much, much more. Whether you are a veteran of the industry or someone just looking to get started in the business there is plenty of exciting and informative content to help you achieve your goals.”
New this year will be a session entitled “How Sustainability and Plastics and Paper Recycling Can Help Shape a Better World.” It will focus on using recycling as an agent of change and helping to improve the lives of people all around the world. Attendees will hear about specific initiatives established by ReMA members - and others - that are leveraging recycling to help lift individuals out of poverty and also helping entrepreneurs start companies that provide well-paying jobs to communities all around the world.
