Last week, U.S. EPA officially issued the 2015 Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Industrial Activity (2015 MSGP)
Effective June 4, 2015, the 2015 MSGP applies only to members in DC, ID, MA, NH, and NM, as well as in PR and Pacific Island territories. Members operating under the 2008 MSGP on an extended basis have until September 2, 2015 to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI). NOIs must be submitted electronically via EPA’s MSGP-NeT Platform. Before submitting an NOI, it is necessary to have a compliant 2015 Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), whether it is an upgraded version of the 2008 SWPPP or a newly developed 2015 SWPPP. As part of submitting an NOI, either a web address for the (on-line) 2015 SWPPP or substantial information from the 2015 SWPPP must be included in the NOI submission.
