This month ReMA is hosting the biannual ISRI Safety and Environmental Council (ISEC) Conference in Nashville, TN. This meeting offers two and a half days of education & training opportunities for EHS professionals, operations & maintenance managers, as well as those who work at the executive level in the scrap recycling industries. All levels of the organization must be onboard with the EHS and other compliance requirements in order for the business to sail smoothly in a forward direction. This ISEC meeting is offering a whole host of opportunities for your organization to network and learn from other professionals in the industry. The opportunities include: how to manage on the spot during a crisis. This four hour session will discuss “real world” scenarios and it will be presented by individuals in the industry from a first-hand account. Another highlight is an open mic session with individuals from around the industry sharing near-misses, hazard recognition, and ideas that have made their EHS programs more robust. There will also be an opportunity to tour an electronics recycling facility along with several other opportunities for learning and networking.
If you haven’t attended an ISEC Conference I encourage you to look in to coming on your own or to consider sending a representative from your company. This is an excellent opportunity for your EHS program manager to learn, share, and grow. For more information contact Tony Smith.
The ISEC Conference is an ReMA Member-Only event.
