ReMA Chair Brian Henesey is vice president and general manager of Rocky Mountain Recycling, Inc. (RMR), in Commerce City, Colorado.

Brian’s involvement in ReMA spans over 20 years serving various positions at the chapter and national levels. Brian was elected to national office in 2016, moving up the ranks to his current role. As chair of ISRI, Brian leads the board of directors as well as steering efforts that establish the association’s key priorities.

Originally from Duquesne, Pennsylvania. Brian's recycling career began at age 16, when he worked as a summer employee at Vac-Air Alloys, a local recycling company. Upon graduating from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1991, he accepted a management trainee position for Keywell LLC, which led to him becoming operations manager at its Houston facility.

In 1998, Brian accepted a position with RMR and moved to Colorado, where today he is a principal at the company. RMR is a full-service metal recycling company specializing in ferrous, nonferrous, and other metals. Brian is active in all of the company's commercial, operational, environmental health and safety, and legislative activities.

He lives in Denver with his wife, Leticia, and her two daughters, Audrianna and Mariah. Brian’s hobbies include sports, particularly football (Go Steelers!), basketball, and soccer, as well as traveling and learning other cultures. His favorite things about recycling are the industry’s essential role in the longevity of our planet, and the work recyclers do to preserve natural resources.
