Tommy Daughtrey Honored with ISRI’s 2014 Tire Processor Chapters’ Service to Industry Award

Las Vegas – The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) announced that Tommy Daughtrey, of Four D Corp, is the winner of this year’s Tire Processor Chapters’ Service to Industry Award. The Award was presented to Tommy at the 2014 ReMA Annual Convention in Las Vegas during a meeting of the Tire Processor Chapter.

“Tommy has been very active in the Tire Processors Chapter and the Tire & Rubber Division here at ISRI”, said Gary Champlin. “He takes ownership in every opportunity and challenge that comes his way. Twice he has served as Treasurer of the Chapter, and for the Division, has been a director twice and is currently Chair of the Tire & Rubber Division. He also currently serves on ISRI’s Government Affairs and Finance Committee.”

Tommy Daughtrey is president of Four D Corp, a premier tire recycling facility in Duncan, Oklahoma. He went into the family business, Western Welding Supply, after receiving his BS degree in Marketing in 1968 from the University of Oklahoma. Western Welding Supply had 13 store locations over southern Oklahoma and North Texas. The family business was sold to Airgas and Tommy and his father Everett, and brother, Max started Four D Corp in 1994.

Mr. Daughtrey also serves on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Commerce, the Parks and Recreation Board, and is on the Board of Directors of the Waurika Lake Water Conservancy District.

In order to be eligible to receive the Service to Industry Award, Daughtrey had to meet the following criteria:
  • Actively participate in OR continually volunteer for Chapter projects and initiatives.
  • Has served in leadership position (either as a Board officer or Committee Chair) OR has volunteered to present at the Convention or Tire Chapter sponsored event.
  • Has been a Tire Chapter member for 3 or more years.
  • Is willing to advance ReMA and the Tire Chapter when at events not sponsored by ISRI.
  • The member has actively recruited one or more companies to become a Tire Chapter member.
  • Is well respected within the industry.
