Registration Open for ReMA Fall Safety & Environmental Council (ISEC) Meeting

(Washington, DC) – Registration is underway for the Fall Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries’ (ISRI) Safety & Environmental Council (ISEC) Meeting, to be held November 4-6, 2014, at the Drury Plaza Hotel, in St. Louis, Missouri. The meeting is structured to provide a forum where safety issues are discussed openly and thoroughly among safety professionals employed by ReMA members.

“As an industry, safety must be a top priority for us,” said Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. “The ISEC meetings are an opportunity for members to receive the latest safety training, exchange best practices, obtain a refresher on long-standing procedures, and discuss with colleagues new challenges all with an eye toward creating the safest work environment for employees.”

Featured topics include: unwanted environmental issues, OSHA recording criteria, and a presentation on safe practices in heavy equipment. The meeting will feature a workshop titled: Emergent Leadership: Three Keys to Influencing Others, presented by C. David Crouch. Mr. Crouch is a Senior Consultant, Caterpillar Inc. and author of The Excellent Experience – A BluePrint for Organizational, Team, and Individual Success. In this highly engaging workshop, attendees will learn and practice the three core behaviors exhibited by emergent leaders: They build trust in their relationships; they create accountability for others; and they lead with passion. Armed with these tools, you will take a major step toward elevating the level of safety excellence in your organization.

ISEC is an ReMA member-only event. Attendees may register through the ISRI website. The conference registration fee is $235, which includes all lunches and a cocktail reception.

A limited number of rooms have been reserved for conference participants at $103/night plus tax for a single or double. Rooms may be reserved online or by calling (800) 325-0720. When calling the hotel, participants must identify themselves as attending the ReMA Safety and Environmental Council Meeting to qualify for the special rate. Hotel registration deadline is October 24.
