Our hearts go out to those impacted by the record-setting wildfires that are burning across many parts of the western United States.
In some areas of the Country the air quality has degraded to “hazardous” levels. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “exposure to air pollutants in wildfire smoke can irritate the lungs, cause inflammation, alter immune function, and increase susceptibility to respiratory infections, likely including COVID-19".
