ReMA Gulf Coast Region Awards $44,000 in Scholarships

The ReMA Gulf Coast Region (GCR) has selected 22 students as winners in its annual scholarship program, matching its record total in 2023. Each student will receive $2,000 to apply toward tuition at any accredited educational institution designed to meet the requirements for an academic, professional, or occupational degree for the 2024-2025 academic year.

GCR awards scholarships to select students who are dependents of employees of GCR member companies.

“This scholarship program is a great way to not just help and support students going to college or trade school, but also spotlight and recognize the member companies their parents’ are part of,” said Emily Ziegler, vice president of Davis Iron and Metal and co-chair of the GCR scholarship program.

This year’s scholarship winners, along with their sponsoring ReMA/GCR member company and the school they will attend, are as follows:

The GCR scholarship program operates under the auspices of the William A. Bushman Memorial Scholarship Fund. GCR raises funds for the scholarship program through an annual golf tournament and direct donations.

“The scholarship program is a great way for GCR members to give back to the community and help support the next generation,” Ziegler said.
