(March 18, 2025 - Washington, D.C.) – The Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) today celebrates the eighth annual Global Recycling Day by highlighting the recyclers who contribute to sustainable manufacturing, a resilient world economy, and essential global supply chain.
“On Global Recycling Day 2025, we celebrate the critically essential work of the recycled materials industry and the men and women of the industry who keep global supply chain moving,” said ReMA President Robin Wiener. “So much of what we all depend on globally, from our cars to buses, electronics that keep telecommunications in motion, cardboard that protects deliveries, and more are made possible thanks to the work of recyclers.”
Global Recycling Day was created in 2018 to celebrate the important role recycled materials play as an integral part of the U.S. economy - and ReMA has been a proud supporter every year since its inception. The recycled materials industry supplies high-quality, renewable resources for everything from essential national infrastructure, like bridges and buildings, to consumer products like laptops, soda cans, boxes, and cars.
“On Global Recycling Day and every day, the work of the recycled materials industry is integral to the manufacturing supply chain, economy, and our daily lives,” concluded Wiener.
